"American Idle" was the original rap crooner album that never was. Written and recorded from 2000 to 2003, it was forged to be the first of it's kind; an album of songs written and performed by a rapper -- SINGING. Toying with this style on various efforts long before Will.I.Am, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Andre 3000, and any other rap converts you can name; Anacron built a solid project that was later shelved before release. Now, this full-length effort is available in it's original format (some songs still as demo recordings) for AnaManiacs to enjoy an era in Anacron's creative evolution that has never been heard before now.
